📖 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” – Matthew 26:41

C.S. Lewis wrote an interesting book called “The Screwtape Letters.” In it, he draws our attention to the many and subtle schemes of the enemy to tempt God’s children. We must never forget that God’s enemy also hates us and seeks to destroy us. He will tempt us to sin, constantly, in very fascinating ways. That is where the danger lies.

When temptation is strong, the Bible advises us to flee. Acknowledging your weakness and removing yourself from a dangerous situation is nothing to be ashamed of—it’s a sign of wisdom. This is especially true when facing sexual temptation or other powerful struggles. Avoid situations where you know temptation awaits. Submit to God. He will help you overcome the battle against sin.

📖 “Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” – 2 Timothy 2:22

To pray: Lord, help me recognize temptation and flee with wisdom. Strengthen my spirit when my flesh is weak. I want to please You in everything. Deliver me from anything that draws me away from You. Teach me to pursue righteousness, faith, and purity with a clean heart. Amen. 🙏
