Resurrected from Spiritual Death

📖 “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins…” (Ephesians 2:1)

📖 “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4–5)

The condition of a person without God is completely hopeless — they are dead! On their own, they have no way out and no power to save themselves. That’s how Ephesians 2 begins: describing our past state — dead in our sins and offenses. Even if we are “alive” physically, apart from Jesus Christ, we are lost and spiritually dead.

But thank God the story doesn’t end there! The Lord chose to love us, forgive us, and give us life. He entered our lives and changed our story completely. We went from “the walking dead” to children resurrected with Christ. What an incredible miracle! Make this new life God has given you truly count!

Receive God’s Life:

• If you haven’t accepted Christ as your Savior, do it now and receive the life that only God can give.

• Be grateful. God gave you life with Christ — you have every reason to give thanks.

• Live humbly. None of us deserve it — we were saved by His love and grace alone. Nothing you do can earn salvation.

• Live as someone who was brought back to life with Jesus. Do everything for God’s glory.

• Let God’s Word teach you how to live this new life — read it, know it, and walk in it.

• Share the life you’ve received! Speak to others about the abundant life found only in Christ.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the new life You’ve given me. Thank You for taking the initiative and having compassion on my condition. Without You, there was no hope — I was lost, dead, and far from Your love. But by Your grace, in Christ, I received forgiveness and love that I could find nowhere else. I didn’t deserve it, but through faith, I received new life in Jesus. Help me share this life with everyone around me. In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏
