Revenge? No!

📖 "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord." – Romans 12:19

Revenge belongs to God. Regardless of the situation, it is not our place to seek vengeance. Only God is truly just. Our version of revenge may seem fair, but we are incapable of judging righteously—let alone perfectly.

Often, revenge is driven by anger rather than justice, making it even more harmful. God knows everything. He is just and sovereign. We can trust Him. We don’t need to stain our hands doing something we have no authority to do.

Trust in God’s justice. Surrender your situation to Him. “In your anger do not sin” (Ephesians 4:26). Some situations shake us, but when we place them in God’s hands, we can move forward without being consumed by revenge.

Revenge is not ours

  • Don’t focus on revenge—focus on God’s justice. He sees all and He will judge all.

  • Don’t let frustration and anger paralyze you. Bring it to God in prayer and keep going.

  • Trust in Him and release it into His hands.

Prayer: Lord, there are moments when I feel angry and overwhelmed, but I want to leave justice in Your hands. You know all things—protect me from injustice and evil. I trust You and Your power. In Jesus' name, amen. 🙏
