đź“–Â But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (1 Corinthians 1:27)
God does not act according to human standards. While the world values what is big, visible, and spectacular, He reveals His power through what is simple, small, and often unlikely. With God, the simple becomes extraordinary, because He is the one who gives purpose and strength to what seems ordinary.
The Bible makes this clear: a staff in Moses’ hands became an instrument of deliverance; five loaves and two fish fed multitudes; and David, with a sling, defeated a giant. It was not the object or human ability that made the difference, but the presence of God.
This teaches us that God uses what we have when we place it in His hands. A sincere prayer, an act of love, or a word of faith can have eternal impact. Often we wait for perfect conditions, but God calls us to act with what we already have.
True greatness is not found in appearance, but in obedience. When we live with faith and dependence on God, He transforms our limitations into a testimony. The ordinary ceases to be ordinary when it carries His presence.
Value what you have today. Do not despise small beginnings, because with God they can become great works. Wherever He is present, the simple becomes extraordinary.
To pray: Lord God, teach us to value the simple things that come from You. Let our eyes recognize Your daily blessings and our hearts remain grateful. Help us live with humility, faith, and obedience, trusting that in Your hands even the smallest things become extraordinary. Amen. 🙏
