Everything works for the good of those who love God

Now we know that God works all things together for good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28

It's intriguing how God operates... Sometimes we don't understand how He uses difficult circumstances in our lives to promote our good. It seems contradictory, but it's when we're most vulnerable that we become more like Christ and more dependent on God. The Bible tells us that we are strong in weakness, we find joy in sadness, and when we're lost, we find the right path: Jesus!

Those who love God can have this confidence: the sufferings they face don't compare with the greater good the Lord has prepared for those who are called according to His purpose. It's a good that surpasses the good things of this life. It doesn't exempt us from afflictions in this world, but it's the grace to live according to Christ until He takes us to be with God for eternity.

• First, it's necessary to love God and know His plan revealed in Jesus Christ.

• Seek to love Him, know Him through the Bible, and grow in your personal relationship with Jesus.

• Pray, trusting that God takes care of you even in the midst of sufferings.

• Believe that there's no trial greater than God's power.

• Even if you don't understand, believe that God is in control of all circumstances.

To pray: Father, I love You and thank You for Your Word. Thank You because all things contribute to the good of those who love You. Even in the midst of sorrows, I know that You are present and take care of me. You are working on a much greater purpose. Help me to trust and depend more on You, so that I may become more like Christ every day. Amen.
