There is no other gospel

As we have already said, so now I say again: if anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! (Galatians 1:9)

There are always people trying to "update" the message of Jesus, creating new interpretations and teachings. These people, believing they are special, seek to bring "renewal" to the Gospel. However, if the message being preached is not consistent with the New Testament Gospel that the apostles taught, it must be rejected.

The Bible is vast and filled with wisdom, stories, and practical commandments. Even if we dedicated our entire lives to studying it, we still wouldn’t be able to fully understand or fulfill it. Don’t fall into presumption. Instead of seeking changes, strive to know and understand the Bible as it is.

Paul not only condemns those who preach a false gospel, but he also reproves the Galatian churches for accepting these false messages. Know your faith well and remain faithful to the Word of God.

Learn and Grow

• Search and study: What are the most important doctrines for your faith? Spend time studying them.

• Make a list of doctrines and biblical questions, and work on resolving them over time. This will help you grow in your faith.

• Read the letter to the Galatians and allow the Word to guide you further on this subject.

To Pray: Lord, my Father and my God, I ask You to forgive me if I have ever strayed in my faith by believing what I shouldn’t have. Give me strength and empower me through the Holy Spirit to mature in my faith and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. May my faith be as firm as a rock, grounded in what is right.
